"The hand of the master is guided by skill and set free by inspiration." (author unk.)

Where does it all begin? Throwing a knife: to hit a tree...to stick and not fall...to hit a target -— a bulls-eye...
to miss a human assistant…to be several inches from your assistant...to break a balloon between your
assistant's legs — or out of her mouth...to cut a straw out of your assistant's mouth…and then throwing a
hand full of knives around a human target spinning on a wheel in front of a paying audience who peek
between their fingers and say, "I couldn't watch." You won't find your answer in middle school lessons plans,
but after tens of thousands of throws, you have it.
You've seen a throw become a stunt, a routine, a show,
a performance. There it is...now you know.

There are very few stunts a knife thrower can undertake that tests his skill and fortitude more than throwing knives
around his lovely assistant, tied to The Wheel of Death, at less than 1 second per throw. Having been in that position
and having been first trusted by Lady Astrid I dedicate this page to all the impalement artists that have stood before
that whirling wheel and mustered the strength to throw that "FIRST knife" as well as the lovely assistants who so
faithfully put their fate in the hands of such throwers.

AND DON'T EVER FORGET THAT THE MOST IMPORTANT "THING" TO AN IMPALEMENT ARTIST IS HIS
ASSISTANT'S SAFETY. THE INESCAPABLE FEAR OF DRAWING EVEN ONE DROP OF BLOOD NEVER
LEAVES THE MIND OF THE ARTIST.
NEVER.

What ’s in a name? "That which we call a rose / By any other name would smell as sweet." Shakespeare
THE WHEEL OF WHAT? THE WHEEL OF DEATH...
