Competition throwers, a point to ponder: Approx. 500 BC the great Chinese philosopher Confucius said, "There is nothing in which a gentleman would compete with others except, perhaps, archery. Even then he should bow to his rivals before he ascends the platform; in the same manner he should step down from the platform to drink his cup of triumph. He has competed in archery but remains a gentleman." It has been my pleasure to share this philosophy with many of the fine throwers I've had the occasion to compete with.
